Spaces Open for Private Directed Retreat in July

Step away from your busy days and retreat to Weber Center. Walk our labyrinth and outdoor garden, enjoy the quiet of the INAI art gallery space, and find time to explore the spiritual questions of your heart.

This retreat is for those looking for solitude and guidance. It offers time and space for prayer, quiet reflection, and participation in campus liturgies. Each participant meets daily with a spiritual director of his or her choice.

This retreat takes place from 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 through 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2019. The cost, which includes meals and snacks, is $250 for commuters, $425 for single occupancy and $325 per person for double occupancy.

Mary Sue Kennedy, OP

Mary Sue Kennedy, OP, is a Dominican Sister of Adrian, Michigan, with training in spiritual direction, theology, communication skills, and group facilitation. Sister Mary Sue has directed retreats and preached retreats for laity and religious.

Trudy McSorley

Trudy McSorley is an Associate of the Dominican Sisters of Adrian. Trudy is committed to the Dominican charism, and through her own prayer and contemplation seeks to be a listener, supporter, and one who encourages others on their journey to the Holy.

Janene Ternes received training through the Ignatian Spiritual Direction Program at Manresa Jesuit Retreat House. She is a supervisor for the program there, as well as a retreat director and companion for the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. Janene is also the founder of Prayer in Motion, LLC, a ministry that opens hearts to God through prayer using music, movement and guided meditation.

Joan Delaplane, OP, a Dominican Sister of Adrian, Michigan, has had broad experience in preaching, directing retreats, and conducting workshops in preaching for both Catholic and Protestant ministers. Spiritual direction has been Joan’s avocation for the past 25 years.

Joan Ebbitt

Joan Ebbitt, LMSW, an Associate of the Adrian Dominican Sisters of Adrian, specializes in ministering to religious, clergy, and others in their quests for experiencing the Divine. She walks with directees providing support, gentle challenges, and encouragement as they encounter the mystery of our universe.

Sister Esther Kennedy, OP

Esther Kennedy, OP, MSW, is a Dominican Sister of Adrian, Michigan, a spiritual director, and clinical social worker. She is nourished by the interplay of the sacred teachings of Eastern and Western traditions.
