Recharge Your Spirit at INAI

Looking for a quiet place to rest and spiritually recharge? INAI: A Space Apart is located adjacent to Weber Retreat and Conference Center in Adrian, Michigan and offers the perfect place to meditate, read, or contemplate art.

The word INAI (pronounced in-EYE) is Japanese and means “within.” It is a quiet place of peace that encourages contemplation and prayer. Open daily and free to the public, INAI is host to four spaces: an art gallery, a meditation space, a library, and an art room for those who wish to create art. The rotating art exhibits are thought provoking and eye catching.

Tom Rand, a pastor from Toledo and a frequent visitor to INAI, has found it to be the perfect place for regular meditation and prayer.

Tom Rand, Pastor of Sylvania First United Methodist Church, is a frequent visitor to INAI.

“For many years I have been taking Wednesdays as a Sabbath time to spend with God,” he shared. “A friend told me about INAI and I came to find a place of extraordinary hospitality and rest, peace and beauty, prayer and contemplation. This year it has been such a gift to be able to spend a few hours every Wednesday becoming present with Christ. The art spaces invite me to expand my vision; the prayer space invites me to silence and solitude where Christ meets me. The library gives me an opportunity to reflect on my life in light of the Gospel. I am so grateful for the vision of those who saw a need for a place set apart.”

All are encouraged to take advantage of this community resource. INAI is currently on winter hours, open daily 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; starting in March, its hours expand 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
