Weber Shop Feature: Carruth Sculptures
This month the Weber Center Shop features the distinctive garden stone art of George Carruth, whose studio is just down the road in Waterville, Ohio.
Carruth sculptures are for home or garden, indoors or outdoors. Featuring animals, angels, flowers, birds, and the Holy Family, Carruth pieces are known around the world for their beauty, detail, and whimsy. You are sure to find something that speaks to your heart.
These sculptures are not made from plastic or resin, but real stone. From the Carruth Studio:
“Every Carruth sculpture is hand cast in stone. It’s made with local, crushed limestone, Portland cement and a couple of other ingredients to give it the strength to last outdoors in any weather for a very long time. We do not use any resin or other fillers often found in other statuary products.”
Pieces range in size from 4.5″ to 11″ tall and range in price from $26.95 to $62.95. Each comes with a hook for hanging, but many can stand upright on their own.
The Weber Center Shop is open Wednesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (closed noon to 12:45 for lunch). Please contact the Shop at 517-266-4035 or webershop@adriandominicans.org with any questions.
