Live stream feed will be available on the day of the event. Recording will be posted and remain available for two weeks.

This contemplative reflection is led by Sisters Kathleen Deignan and Libby Osgood. They describe how they discovered the “found prayers, poems, and hymns” of Jesuit priest scientist Father Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and wove them into a Book of Hours for daily prayer.

Spiritual seekers and “those who love the world” are invited to cultivate the “cosmic sense” of faith awakened through the cosmopoetics of Teilhard’s luminous language of the sacred. Together, at prayer in the cosmos, we will encounter Teilhard, the Spiritual Master for Citizens of the Universe.

Kathleen Deignan, CND, PhD, is Emerita Professor of Religious and Theological Studies at Iona University in New Rochelle, New York. A composer of sacred song, she directs the Deignan Institute for Earth and Spirit, a multi-faceted project in support of the cultivation of
global citizens for the emergence of a global ecological civilization.

Libby Osgood, CND, PhD, PEng, is Associate Professor of Sustainable Design Engineering at the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada, who previously worked on two NASA satellites as an aerospace engineer.
