“Until you step into the unknown, you don’t know what you are made of.” – Roy T. Bennett
Our present challenge is to lean into the present moment…even when we want to run away. Living in this Coronavirus time makes many of us want to hop, skip and jump to anywhere but the here and now! The truth is, the only way out is through. Surviving this pandemic means continually taking steps to recover from the depths of physical, emotional and spiritual pain we currently experience.
In this free, four-part series, presenter Joan Ebbitt will examine the supportive spirituality of the first three Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and reflect on how they can help us deal with the daunting sense of powerlessness many of us are feeling right now.
Joan’s 30-minute reflections are live streamed for Adrian Dominican Sisters and Associates on Tuesdays, May 26 through June 16. Recordings will be posted here for the general public to view the following day (Wednesdays, May 27, June 3, 10, 17).
Joan Ebbitt, DCSW, Spiritual Director and clinical social worker, ministered in the field of addictions treatment for over 30 years. She has counseled alcoholics and addicts and the family and friends who love them. Joan is an Adrian Dominican Associate.
